Your Identity Makes All the Difference – Part 4

I’m life coach Peter Winslow. In our last post we discovered that who we think we are and who we really are can be two different things. One of them is “static” (our outer identity, the perceived self) and the other, “dynamic” (our inner identity, or true self.)

I said that as I see it, the inner identity (one’s true self) is comprised of three things. And when you realize this fully and completely, your health, wealth and happiness will increase automatically, and exponentially.

What are the three essences of the true self? You will recognize them as: Love, Joy, and Peace of Mind.

These priceless states of being are not things you can earn or purchase; they are components of who you are, the deepest essence of your true self.

As a life coach, I’ve been approached by countless clients who ask for my help in finding love, improving their relationships, and manifesting wealth—which most people believe will give them great joy and lasting inner peace.

Think about this: nearly everyone spends their entire lives going into the world and trying to find these things. Most people spend their lives searching for love, joy, and peace, thinking of them as rare treasures that the world will give them if only they are good enough or lucky enough to win the game.

This belief can become an obsession, often bordering on madness. More importantly, it’s not true. The everlasting inner assets of your true self are rife and abundant when you realize the truth about yourself.

The fact remains that until you feel the love within you, you will not attract and hold love from the world around you. This is because love is an internal state of being, not an external conquest. The same holds true for joy and peace of mind. Realizing them for what they are is the beginning of true health, real wealth and abiding abundance.
